The Next Web Conference (TNW) in Amsterdam is one of the largest conferences in innovations and technologies, bringing together the world’s leading thinkers, investors, startups and brands to do business and share ideas. This year StartupAmsterdam, in collaboration with TNW, will organize a summit for startup city representatives. The aim of this summit is to exchange best practices, make connections, collaborate and discuss the current and future role of local governments in rapid developing startup eco-systems. Bringing together startup city representatives is of paramount importance to meet the demands of start- and scale-ups, who are mainly focused on local eco-systems, facilities and expansion from city to city.
Western NIS Enterprise Fund in partnership with StartupAmsterdam announces a call for the best startup city project. It could be an idea, concept, or initiatives that strengthen a local startup ecosystem. The winner will participate in the Next Web Startup City Summit in Amsterdam, May 19th, 2017.
Initiatives that strengthen directly the local startup ecosystem (more talent, more capital, activate launching customers, more content, improve connectiveness (inter)nationally, public-private initiatives, incubation/acceleration programs, interaction model with municipalities, services for citizens, framework Action plan for city ecosystem
In order to participate you should submit a concept of a Startup City action plan or initiative. Outline existing and potential partners in business, local government and civil society. Provide analysis of existing gaps within your city that the project will solve. Introduce the team.
